Great Start For Chelsea

I enjoyed the opening match on Saturday when Chelsea trashed Portsmouth 4-0. Scolari started the match with a 433 formation. Lampard, Ballack, Deco and Joe Cole all played and it's amazing how they combined to produce attractive attacking football. It a fantasy football team come true. I thought there will be a fierce competition for a spot in the first eleven. Joe Cole opened Chelsea's account this season. Anelka scored the second about 10 mins later. Lampard added the third goal from the penalty spot. Deco scored his debut league goal for Chelsea late in the second half, a long range shot from outside the penalty box. That was the best goal of the night in my opinion.

Drogba, Sheva did not play. If they had, I believe more goals would be scored. On the whole, Chelsea played a more entertaining game and I'm looking forward to their next game against Wigan.

It was also great to know that Man U drew with Newcastle in their first match at Old Trafford.
