Chelsea won 2 - 0 at home, ending Aston Villas undefeated run this season. Goals by Joe Cole and Anelka sealed the win and the three points. I felt it was one of the better games as Chelsea took control from the start and dictated the game. The passing were good and there were many chances being created. The team won back the ball quickly whenever it was lost to Villa. Anelka had a few good chances. He could have easily scored a hat trick if he was sharp enough.
Chelsea is now top of the league after this game on goal difference. I've checked the score of the Man City vs Liverpool game and was happy that the reds were down by two goals at half time. A pity that Man City could not keep the lead and went down 2 - 3 in the end. The blues would have been 3 points clear if the Man City defence did not go to sleep.
