Good Start To The New Season

Chelsea won the first trophy of the season, the FA Charity Shield following a penalty shootout win over Man U.

It was not the best performance I've seen. Perhaps the team has not got used to the tactics of the new manager. Chelsea was lucky that Man U did not play Edwin Van Der Sar. Ben Foster did not seem very comfortable between the posts. I think Foster got even more nervous after Calvalho headed in the equaliser. Lampard's goal, though controversial, was quite good anyway.

Chelsea needs to work on its defence. Hope the team does not concede last minute goals like the one Rooney scored during the season.

Anyway, it's good that Chelsea starts to get the momentum o winning tropies again. Hope this momentum stays with the team throughout the season.
